Typewritten essay, probably delivered as a speech, by an unnamed author. Internal evidence suggests that the item was written late in the 1930s. It is subtitled: "'The Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy,' as a Bible Test, Applied to Joseph Smith, relative to Events in Palestine and the War of 1914-18 and ensuing Effects." The essay relates to Mormon beliefs on Joseph Smith (1805-1844) and in the future of war, the Jews, and Palestine. The author concludes: "Do not think for a moment that in anything I have said I desire to convey the idea that in the release of Palestine from Gentile power there shall be established a Jewish republic there; that will not be."
